Two people have died in a crash in Hampshire.

The accident involved a Renault Clio and Ford Mondeo and happened in Twinley Lane, Whitchurch.

Police say the female driver of the Clio and the male driver of the Mondeo both died at the scene.

The road is closed while officers investigate the collision and the vehicles are recovered.

Anyone who saw the crash, which happened at 6.44am today, or either vehicle beforehand should contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101, quoting Operation Mellphone.
