POLICE are hunting three men who staged a smash-and-grab raid in a Hampshire village.
The thieves, who were wearing scarves across their faces, broke the front windows of the Tesco Express store in Brookley Road, Brockenhurst.
They made an unsuccessful attempt to steal cigarettes from a locked cabinet and instead took a quantity of alcohol worth £160.
The thieves then made off in a Ford Fiesta which is thought to have been stolen from Kings Road, New Milton, the night before. The dark blue, L-reg vehicle was later found abandoned in Setthorns Road, Sway.
One of the men was wearing combat trousers and a black jacket over a blue hooded top.
The raid occurred last Friday at 3am. Anyone with information should call PC Stephanie Rudland at Lymington police station on 101.
