CAMPAIGNERS battling cuts to youth and children’s services in Southampton are set to protest outside the Civic Centre tonight.
The demonstration, from 5pm, will take place before city bosses hold a Cabinet meeting.
Parents, community workers and youngsters are angry at plans to axe £7m from services to vulnerable children, which includes shutting a children’s home as well as youth clubs and services, play centres and Sure Start facilities.
The cost cutting plans come as Southampton City Council prepares to deliver its harshest budget in living memory in February that aims to fill a £20m black hole.
