A VOLUNTEER organisation working to curb accidents has won gold at a prestigious national awards.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) recognised the work of The Isle of Wight Health and Safety Group with the top prize.
It was praised for its topical programmes, close links to small businesses and its dedication to key themes such as slip and trip prevention, noise and vibration, appliance testing and asbestos.
