ALLEGED murderer Afrim Lleshi today told how he helped his co-accused dispose of the body of a Southampton drug dealer.
He is accused of murdering Agim Hoxha whose battered body was found in a burned out Mercedes at Chilworth in April 2012.
Afrim Lleshi told jurors at Winchester Crown Court that Arben Lleshi had called on him and confessed to killing Mr Hoxha.
Afrim Lleshi said: “Arben said ‘I killed someone’. I felt shock. I said ‘who did you kill?’ Arben said Agim. I said I couldn’t believe it.
“I said ‘why?’ Arben said ‘he threatened me. I owed him money’.
“He said Agim had called him and threatened to kill him. He said he didn’t mean to kill him, it was an accident.”
Afrim Lleshi told the jury that Mr Hoxha was in Arben Lleshi’s flat nexty door to his own.
With Arben Lleshi he went there and saw Mr Hoxha was wrapped up in material with a black plastic bag over his head.
Afrim Lleshi said he helped Arben Lleshi carry the body to a car, which Arben Lleshi drove away.
Prosecutors allege that both Arben Lleshi and Afrim Lleshi plotted together to kill Mr Hoxha, 29.
Arben Lleshi, 27, of Onslow Road, Southampton, and Afrim Lleshi, 36, of Shirley Road, Southampton, deny murder.
Arben Lleshi denies perverting the course of justice, a charge which Afrim Lleshi has admitted.
