THEY are more used to offering advice on finance but this Hampshire firm are urging everyone to make the most of a unique rhino extravaganza coming to town.
Radcliffe and Co, based in Southampton, is the latest business to join the stampede for Marwell Wildlife’s Go! Rhinos project that will see life-sized, multi-coloured sculptures pop up across the city this summer.
The public art project is an exciting trail for families to follow, while raising vital cash for charity and conservation missions run by Marwell.
The rhino sculptures will be decorated by local artists.
Neil Igglesden, managing director of Radcliffe and Co, said: “As a company we look to support local charities. Go Rhino’s! offers us the chance to continue to support three of these charities plus it will bring a bit of colour to the city and hopefully also act as a reminder of our position as one of the leading independent financial advisers in this region.”
The project is asking businesses to pay between £3,500 to £4,000 for a sculpture, which they can then choose to decorate with one of a variety of designs by local artists.
Some of the proceeds from the auction of the sculptures at the end of the ten-week trail through the city will go towards Marwell Wildlife’s work with rhino conservation. Money will also go towards other conservation projects within the park, as well as the Rose Road Association and Wessex Heartbeat’s HIGH 5 Appeal.
