TOWN leaders in Ringwood are to ask police chiefs if an officer could have a permanent base in the Furlong Centre.
Managers at the centre have offered to share their office with a police officer in order to establish a town centre police presence.
Members of the town council heard that antisocial behaviour from youngsters is on the increase in Ringwood, with incidents such as under-age drinking and abusive language directed at shoppers
