THE dust was removed and any broken bits were glued back on, as a selection of antiques were taken along to a roadshow for a new TV programme.
Dickinson's Real Deal was in Winchester at the weekend looking for those neglected treasures.
The show gives people the chance to take their antiques to an expert and then face the dilemma of accepting their offer or taking it to auction.
Scores of people took antiques to the West Downs Centre, part of the university on Saturday, to meet David Dickinson and the other dealers.
Mr Dickinson said: "This is the programme that will level the playing field between dealers and auction houses."
