MOTORISTS could face delays again as a major Southampton roundabout is partly closed this weekend.
Redbridge roundabout is set to be partially closed tomorrow as resurfacing work is carried out.
This weekend was scheduled to be work-free during the day but heavy rain has put improvement work behind schedule.
Last week, there was traffic chaos after the roundabout was closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Tomorrow’s scheduled work is part of Southampton City Council’s second phase of major repairs to the bottom of the M271.
It means there will be no access for drivers entering from westbound on the slip past the junction with Old Redbridge Lane.
The westbound off slip will also be closed.
There will be access from the M271 southbound and to the eastbound slip in the direction of the city centre.
The work is expected to last a day.
However, the roundabout will be partially closed again next weekend, from April 26- 28, for the third phase of work.
