SOUTHAMPTON'S maritime extravaganza continues today with another chance to see a Lancaster bomber fly over the city.
The iconic aircraft will soar over the 1940s themed Southampton Maritime Festival at 2.30pm this afternoon, weather permitting, as the celebration of the city's heritage enters its second day.
Yesterday thousands of people flocked to the Ocean Terminal at the Eastern Docks to enjoy the festivities on offer, including the chance to watch as a flotilla of the Dunkirk Little Ships sailed in.
One of the ships, the Tahilla, had onboard Prince Michael of Kent, who officially opened the event.
Visitors to the docks will be able to take a tour of a working steamship, the SS Shieldhall, join in a wartime sing-a-long and take a ride on one of the many vintage buses touring around the city centre.
