SOUTHAMPTON is dreaming of a White Christmas.

Perhaps not the snowy variety, but excitement is mounting about the Mayflower's festive show, the European premiere of the stage version of Irving Berlin's classic holiday movie.

Now music lovers have the chance to get in the festive mood withstar Craig McLachlan by downloading his version of the cliassic hit I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas - for FREE!.

Craig, who had 90s hits such as Mona, Amanda and You're The One That I Want, has recorded a new version of White Christmas.

Those who attended the Christmas lights switch-on at The Mall, Marlands in November got a sneak preview of the song as Craig performed an acoustic set.

The song is available as a free download by clicking HERE Craig, pictured, says he's throwing himself into the White Christmas experience during rehearsals.

He added: "I always wanted to do a Christmas-type show. This came up and how can you not love White Christmas? I jumped on a plane!"

White Christmas runs from Thursday December 7 to Sunday January 28.

It also stars Ken Kercheval, who played Cliff Barnes in Dallas, Broadway singer and actress Lorna Luft, daughter of Judy Garland and sister of Liza Minelli, and West End star Tim Flavin.
