BUDDING young artists have just four days left to enter the Daily Echo's Christmas card competition.

Already hundreds of brilliant creative children from across the region have sent us their festive designs but time is running out for anyone who still wants to enter.

The Daily Echo has joined forces with Debenhams in Southampton to offer young people the chance to showcase their artistic talents and snap up some top prizes.

All you have to do is put felt tip pen to paper and design a card that best reflects the festive season, which can be anything from seasonal snowmen to prancing penguins.

Anyone aged 12 and under can enter and winners will be selected from three age categories: six years and under, seven to nine years and ten to 12 years.

Some of the seasonal designs that have already flooded in include a brightly coloured festive fairy spreading Christmas wishes by Jasmine Maitland, aged six, of Durley Brook Road, Durley, Father Crhistmas making his way down the chimney by nine-year-old Beth Trueman from Winsor, and a vibrant Christmas scene by 12-year-old Stephanie Parker, of Sunvale Close, Sholing.

Lucky winners will receive £100 to spend in Debenhams, those in second place will receive £50 to spend in store and those in third place will get £25.

A panel of Daily Echo judges will pick a selection of designs to feature in an eight-page supplement on December 9, where readers can vote for their favourite designs.

In the true spirit of Christmas, Debenhams will also present three Daily Echo voters with £25 store vouchers.

All designs must be in colour and presented on portrait A4 paper. Remember to include your name, age, address and telephone number on a separate piece of paper. Simply fill out the entry form on page 10 of today's Daily Echo.

Send your entries to Christmas Card Competition, Promotions Department, Southern Daily Echo, PO Box 543, Southampton, SO16 9ZQ or drop them into Debenhams, Queensway, Southampton.

Entries must be in by Friday, December 1.
