HE may be mini but he’s got a head for heights.
Hearty, Wessex Heartbeat’s little rhino, paid a visit to the hotel under construction at the home of Hampshire cricket to thank them for supporting the charity’s HIGH 5 Appeal.
The Hampshire Cricket Community Trust is batting for the Echo-backed appeal to raise £500,000 to build a specialist heart unit at Southampton General Hospital for young people.
With a little help from the team at the Ageas Bowl Hearty was hoisted high into the sky to inspect the works and take a first look at the views over the cricket ground.
Hearty is also part of Marwell Zoo’s Go! Rhinos project, where around 100 rhinos will take to the streets of Southampton in July for an art project.
Both Wessex Heartbeat and the Ageas Bowl have large rhinos currently being painted.
Stuart Robertson, Ageas Bowl commercial director, said: “The HIGH 5 Appeal is a great cause helping young people with heart conditions.”
