RACHEL Corrie was an American peace activist and a member of the International Solidarity Movement. In 2003 she went to Gaza, during a period of intense Palestinian/Israeli violence, as part of her senior-year college assignment to connect her home town with Rafah in a ‘sister cities’ project.
This is her story, based on diary entries and essays. It is a story of a true humanitarian, who believed in freedom.
A real story of an imperfect, but remarkable, young woman.
My Name Is Rachel Corrie, adapted by Alan Rickman, is presented by RAODS at The Plaza Theatre Romsey’s Green Room from Monday to Friday.
