HUNDREDS of students hit Portswood high street last night for a pub crawl.
Students from the University of Southampton were in high spirits for the annual So:Portswood event.
A number of pubs and clubs, including The Mitre, The Gordon Arms and Jesters, opened their doors to students wearing exclusive event T-shirts.
A high number of event marshals wearing high visibility jackets lined street corners to provide assistance along the route.
Students visited most bars in groups.
Street pastors were on hand to provide support if needed and a team of first aiders were present.
Organiser Neville Virgin told the Daily Echo at the event: “It has gone really well and been organised really well.”
