Fire crews tackle spate of bin fires across Southampton
SOUTHAMPTON firefighters were called out to three bins fires overnight and a bonfire.
The small fire unit from St Mary's was first called to Magnolia Road in Bitterne, at 10.10pm last night, where they found a bin alight.
They were then called out to a second bin fire close to Bitterne Leisure Centre at 3.15am and then another behind Sainsbury's in Bitterne, 90 minutes later.
The last call of the night came at 6.30am, where they had to extinguish a bonfire in Evenlode Road, in Millbrook.
