Youngsters went back to nature at a special event held in a Hampshire meadow.
Pupils from Red Barn Primary School and Northern Junior School, both in Portchester, had a lesson at nearby Linden Lea, a chalk downland meadow sown last autumn.
About 65 children were given information on the wild flowers, free seeds and an opportunity to take part in some botanical art, taught by students from Portsmouth University.
The event was organised by Fareham in Bloom.
