A MOTORCYCLIST is in a serious condition following a crash involving a car.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened at 9.15pm on Saturday in Locks Road, Locks Heath.
The crash involved a blue Nissan Micra and a red Honda motorcycle.
The driver of the Micra, a 64-year-old man from Warsash, was uninjured.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man from Fareham was seriously injured and taken to Southampton General Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and are asking anyone who saw the collision or either vehicle prior to it, to call PC Phil Robertson at Fratton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Physique.
