A YOUNG Southampton man who took his own life left no clues as to the reasons why he did it, an inquest heard.
Mateusz Sentowski was found by his brother in the shed at their family home. He had hanged himself. The shed was locked from the inside and his brother had to smash the window and force the door open with a knife.
Southampton Coroner’s Court heard how Mateusz’s brother had last seen the 21-year-old heading towards the garden shed at around 11am on March 7. But just 50 minutes later, his brother saw his body as he looked through the shed window. The inquest heard that no note had been left and that there had been no indication of what might happen.
Mr Sentowski’s parents, who lived with him and his brother at the house in Steuart Road, described their son as being depressed but he had not been given a formal diagnosis.
A post-mortem examination revealed that there were no drugs or alcohol in his system.
Coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict that Mr Sentowski, who was originally from Poland and had moved to the UK in 2008, took his own life.
