A MAN tackled two burglars in his own home, forcing them to flee empty handed.
The thieves broke in to a bungalow in Blackbrook Park Avenue in Fareham only to discover the occupant was still at home.
He challenged them and they ran off empty handed.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Dermot McBride said: “This was clearly frightening for a householder to find people he did not know in his address.
“No confrontation took place and the offenders left empty handed.”
The first suspect was described was a white man, aged 30-40 years, 5 ft 10 ins tall, with a slim build and short cropped style black hair. The woman was white, aged 30-40 years, 5 ft 6 ins tall with a large build and blonde long hair.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, at 4pm on June 6, should call police on 101.
