YOUNGSTERS battling cancer in Southampton got the chance to escape the hospital wards and enjoy a day out on the water.
The sun beamed as children being treated at Southampton General Hospital’s Piam Brown ward hopped on board the Princess Caroline Party Ship for a sail on the Solent.
The annual trip, which was jam-packed full of fun, games and entertainment, was organised by the Dave Wellman Cancer Trust, which wanted to give the young fighters a day out to remember, away from all things hospital-related.
