AWARD-winning publicans from Hampshire hope to bring their past success to the village of Longparish as they take the helm at the Plough Inn.

Regulars can forget about standard pub grub - from now on they can look forward to top quality food as new owners Paul and Sarah Bingham have won many accolades for their service.

The couple previously owned the Star Inn in East-Tytherley for six-and-a-half years and during that time they won The Good Pub Guide's Hampshire Dining Pub of the Year 2003 Award and The Publican's Pub-Restaurant of the Year 2002 Award.

Now Paul, 44, and Sarah, 43, who have been married for 18 years and have two children, aim to have the same success at the Plough Inn.

Paul said: "We left the Star because we needed a new challenge. We have invited villagers in and they were very impressed with our interior design, which is quite modern but in keeping with its old character.

"Rather than just being a typical pub we aim to provide fine dining to the customers."
