Donna Hartley-Wass
THE funeral of former Southampton athlete Donna Hartley-Wass is expected to take place a week today.
Friends from Southampton will make the journey to Barnsley to say their goodbyes to the 58-year-old, who died suddenly on Friday as she sunbathed in her back garden.
She was found by her husband of 26 years, actor and comedian Bobby Knutt.
The cause of her death is still unknown.
During her glittering athletic career Donna, pictured, won double gold at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, Canada, and a bronze at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow for the 4x400m relay.
She also received an MBE in 1979.
