A HAMPSHIRE village is gearing up for its summer extravaganza.
Swanmore Festival will see six days of events including music, flower shows, competitions and tea parties during the last week in June.
The fun starts on the evening of Tuesday, June 25, at St Barnabas’ Church when BBC presenter Katie Martin launches the festival.
The ‘finale’ on June 30 will start with a 10am Service of Celebration in church, followed after lunch by a fete at Hill Place – the house featured in Channel 4’s Country House Rescue – with music and entertainment by local schools and groups, teas on the lawn, games and craft stalls.
Any proceeds from the festival will help the church to fund projects aimed at increasing involvement in the community.
