AFTER reforming in 2011, legendary Liverpool band The Farm are gearing up for an unforgettable campers only evening at Isle of Wight Festival on Thursday.

They join pals The Happy Mondays in The Big Top to entertain those getting the party started early. Your Entertainment caught up with frontman Peter Hooton before he headed to Seaclose Park.

1. How do you feel about performing at the Isle of Wight Festival?

We are really excited, as it’s a Festival with a great reputation and so much history!

2. What can festivalgoers expect from your show?

Energy, passion and our hits!

3. Are there any surprises in store?

There might be a couple of surprises in store, as you never know when our friends turn up!

4. What do you love most about playing at a Festival?

It’s the great outdoor experience isn’t it? People have looked forward all year to the Festival and they are determined to have a good time. You can always sense that in Festival crowds whatever the weather has in store!

5. If you could share the stage with any other band/artist who would it be? And why?

I would have to say The Clash. For me they were unique – a combustive cocktail of rock ’n’ roll, political statements and energy.”

6. How do you prepare before you go on stage?

Pace around the dressing room consuming whatever is put in my hand by the tour manager!

7. What object could you not live without at a festival?

Flip flops (I’m always optimistic).

8. What has been the highlight of your career so far?

Playing with The Stone Roses in 2012 was fantastic but I would have to say our No1 album Spartacus because we did it all ourselves setting up our own label.

9. Which acts are your ‘ones to watch’ for 2013?

The Tea Street band, The Strypes & The Sugarmen.
