A MAN has been charged following a knifepoint robbery at a Hampshire petrol station.
At around 3pm on bank holiday Monday, May 27, a man entered the Esso Service Station on Sway Road, Brockenhurst.
He managed to get behind the counter and demanded money from the cashier, showing her a knife. He then ran from the store with several hundred pounds.
Zak Mehta, 36, of no fixed abode was arrested in the London area yesterday.
He has since been charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place. He is due before Southampton Magistrates Court today, Thursday, June 13.
A 29-year-old woman arrested at the same time has been released without charge.
