The scene of the discovery
POLICE have named the woman whose body was found in a Hampshire river.
Retired care assistant Kathleen Finlay, 65, lived alone in a flat at Brookley Road, Brockenhurst.
Her body was found in the nearby Lymington River last week by a man walking his dog.
Police were called to the scene near the Balmer Lawn Hotel but say Mrs Finlay’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
An inquest was opened and adjourned in Southampton. The cause of death was given as drowning.
