A WINCHESTER Crown Court judge told a 21-year-old man to be positive, get a job and settle down as he spared him an immediate prison sentence.
Danny Carroll, was arrested after being stopped in St Denys Road, Southampton, where nine bags of cannabis in £10 deals were found on him, said prosecutor Dawn Hyland.
His mobile phone also revealed four texts which indicated he had also been involved in cocaine.
Carroll, of no fixed abode, admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply and being concerned in an offer to supply cocaine.
Giving him a 12-month suspended sentence with 12 months’ supervision, Judge Keith Cutler said: “You are only 21 and you can put this behind you.”
