TENS of thousands of rocking revellers sang along to crowd-pleaser Mr Brightside as The Killers launched a storming set that would bring day two of Isle of Wight Festival to a close late last night.
Brandon Flowers and co. showcased all their biggest hits, including Somebody Told Me and Smile Like You Mean It, in a two hour set, which started 20 minutes late.
They were forgiven within minutes as they brought festival-goers a few surprises.
The crowd adored a cover version of Tiffany’s 80s classic I Think We’re Alone Now and were wowed by a fireworks, lights and pyrotechnics show over Seaclose Park.
Little Mix flashed their toned midriffs in crop tops as they performed a girl band medley in the Big Top earlier in the day.
Laura Mvula also took to the stage in a fluffy sheepskin coat as the crowd danced around to warm themselves up from a biting wind.
The fun continues on the final day today.
Bon Jovi are set to perform a three hour festival finale tonight with rumours flying about their set list, which could end with Livin on A Prayer.
Sir Bob Geldof, who will make a special appearance with The Boomtown Rats after a 26 year hiatus, could take to the stage with the US rockers.
Jon Bon Jovi is said to be a huge fan and has performed I Don’t Like Mondays in the past.
Speaking about the possibility of a collaboration, Sir Bob said: "I know this sounds really matey but usually when he plays here, I get up on stage and do a tune with him because he is a mad Rats fan."
Fans are also desperate to know whether Richie Sambora will re-join the band for their first major festival in two decades. He left the band during their world tour earlier this summer with the band citing personal reasons.
