A YACHT at the centre of the largest drugs seizure in UK history has fetched £176,000 at auction.
Drugs with an estimated street value of £300m were seized when officers from the UK Border Agency raided the Louise in Southampton docks in 2011.
Following a trial in Rotterdam last year three men were jailed for a total of 20 years.
The 35ft pleasure cruiser, which has been impounded in Southampton since the seizure, was sold in Northern Ireland under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Money generated by Act is used to compensate victims and help fund crimefighting schemes.
