THE inquest into the death of a 23-year-old man has opened in Winchester.

Edward Sebborn, of Westbury Court, Hedge End, died in hospital following a single-vehicle collision in Curdridge last week.

The inquest is to be resumed pending results of the post-mortem examination and further police investigation.

The crash, involving a blue Ford Fiesta, happened in Botley Road, close to Maple Farm, on Thursday, June 6.

Mr Sebborn was cut from the car by firefighters and taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital where he died the following day.
