A YOUNG woman had to be rescued by firefighters when she became stuck in a lift in a block of flats.
The woman – believed to be in her 20s – became trapped on the ground floor of the three-storey UniLife building in High Street, Southampton, at 7.30pm last night.
Crews from St Mary’s fire station arrived within 10 minutes and used controls in the lift motor-room to raise the structure to the floor above and free the woman – who was unharmed in the incident.
