EVEN if you’re not knee deep in mud, you can still catch The Modfather in action.
Paul Weller is right in the middle of festival season, having performed as special guest to The Stone Roses at Isle of Wight Festival a week ago.
To warm up for his Hard Rock Calling gig next week, alongside Kasabian and the first show at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the mod rocker is playing a few warm-up shows – including a Southampton Guildhall date.
Expect solo material, tracks from The Style Council back catalogue and perhaps even a cover or two during the more intimate gig on Thursday night.
Support comes from Canterbury 4-piece Syd Arthur, who have been hand-picked by Paul to play before him at his two solo shows, in Southampton and Brighton.
Tickets, priced £43, are still available.
