TITCHFIELD Festival Theatre continues its Summer Bard at the Barn series of Shakespeare plays with Two Gentlemen of Verona.
Said to be the earliest of Shakespeare’s plays, Two Gents has all the hallmarks of one of the best Shakespearean comedies.
Proteus forsakes his love, Julia, in favour of his best friend’s intended, Sylvia, in a story of life-long loyalties vowed and betrayed.
Artistic director, Kevin Fraser, says: “With exquisite 1920s jazz and blues music, genuinely funny comedy, and the disgracefully incontinent dog, Crab, The Two Gentlemen of Verona will surprise and delight.
It runs from Wednesday to Saturday, July 6 at the Great Barn in Titchfield.
