REBELUTION
CALIFORNIA rock reggae group Rebelution warm up for their Glastonbury gig with a headline show at The Cellar in Southampton on Wednesday.
Rebelution has developed into a front-runner for grassroots, independent and tour driven music groups.
Originally formed in 2004, members Eric Rachmany (vocals/guitar), Rory Carey (keyboards), Wesley Finley (drums), and Marley D Williams (bass) met in college in Santa Barbara.
It was there that the seeds to Rebelution’s future were planted creating inspiring and engaging music that would leave their listeners empowered.
The band continuously tours the US and now venture around the world.
HANNAH MCINTYRE
BORN in the north but raised in the south, Hannah McIntyre, pictured right, an 89 baby, had a wide range of music blasted out of the speakers from an early age – from Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morrisette, Kirsty MacColl, Annie Lennox to The Pogues.
Hannah learned to understand the power of music in her life and now she spends her time writing emotive lyrics and simple melodies.
She’s a Wychwood Festival regular who is spreading her wings to bring her music to a wider audience.
Railway audiences will be treated to a performance on Tuesday.
POLLY AND THE BILLETS DOUX
ONE of the UK’s most exciting independent bands, Polly and the Billets Doux play the Talking Heads on Wednesday.
The band have gone from strength to strength, touring the country to critical acclaim and making Friends along the way.
Their debut album Fiction, Half-Truths and Downright Lies had them topping many a one to watch list back in 2010 and the buzz hasn’t stopped since.
Support slots with Stornoway, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Ellen and the Escapades have seen Polly and co bring their music to wider audiences and are festival favourites.
