CLOTHING cast offs, “upcycled” into new designs, will take centre stage in a catwalk show tomorrow.
Fashion designers from across Hampshire have teamed up with Eastleigh’s charity shops to give new life to unwanted clothes.
And the fruits of their labours will be showcased in a fashion show as part of the Eastleigh Enliven Project 2013.
The new designs have already been on display in the shops involved as part of a fashion trail around the town centre.
One of the designers taking part is Hannah Inskip, who has been working with items from the British Heart Foundation shop for her collection.
The day of fashion will also be a chance to find out who has won the competition for the best creations, which will be judged in advance by event supporters and acclaimed British designers Wayne Hemingway MBE and Mia Nisbet.
Visitors will also be able to watch catwalk shows by other local designers and fashion students.
There will also be a chance to browse an art, craft and fashion market featuring textiles, clothing, jewellery and more.
The Enliven Fashion Project is on from 11am to 4pm.
