JOBSEEKERS took the first steps to securing a newhold on the career ladder at an employment fair in Southampton.
Nearly 100 people flocked to St Mark’s Institute Hall in Victoria Road, Woolston, for a jobs show organised by the Citizen Choice charity.
Charities and organisations from across the county offered visitors opportunities to sign up for future careers skills workshops ranging from CV, cover-letter writing and interview techniques to first aid courses.
Groups setting up stall there included Carers Together, Women’s Wisdom, Woolston Timebank, the Wheatsheaf Trust and JobCentre Plus.
Citizen Choice project manager Jackie James said: “This goes to showthere is a lot of help out there for people trying to find jobs.”
