TRANSPORT secretary Patrick McLoughlin is set to visit the Gosport peninsula on Thursday.
The Conservative politician will meet young apprentices on a Network Rail training course at HMS Sultan and will explore the Maritime and Coastguard Agency base at Daedalus.
He will be shown around by Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage who has secured £8.5m to improve Newgate Lane but is campaigning for greater investment to improve congested roads and transport bottlenecks in the area such as the A32.
