A HAMPSHIRE dad was found dead in his trailer after suffering from sudden adult death syndrome, an inquest heard.
Howard Bonnick was discovered by his partner of 12 years, Paula Marks, who had not heard from him in two days.
She found the 56-year-old collapsed on his knees in the kitchen of his trailer, in Woodlands Park, Stopples Lane, Hordle, on October 6, 2012.
Southampton Coroners Court heard that Mr Bonnick, who had a history of high blood pressure, had been admitted to hospital the month before his death complaining of chest pains but was discharged the same day with medication for suspected pericarditis.
A post-mortem examination revealed there were no signs of this condition or any other clear cause of death.
Pathologist Dr Brian Green told the court that the office worker had suffered from acute cardiac failure but, with no clear cause, he concluded it was as a result of sudden adult death syndrome.
Deputy coroner Gordon Denson recorded a verdict of death due to natural causes.
