CATALYTIC converters were stolen from similar vehicles on the same night.

Thieves took one from a Mercedes Sprinter van, owned by a 25-year-old man and parked in Brunswick Road, Eastleigh, sometime between 6pm on Monday and 7am yesterday.

A second was removed from another Mercedes Sprinter van between 11pm on Monday and 5am yesterday while the vehicle was parked in Ascot Road, Eastleigh.

Police are investigating the possibility that the crimes are linked.
