MIKE & The Mechanics, who have sold over 10 million records worldwide, have announced The Living Years – 25th Anniversary Tour.
Their 23 dates around the UK in 2014 will include Hampshire stops at Fareham’s Ferneham Hall on March 4 and The Anvil in Basingstoke on March 6.
Genesis founding member Mike Rutherford (guitar) – joins forces with a new generation Mike + The Mechanics which includes one of the UK’s most prolific R&B singers, Andrew Roachford – lead and backing vocals – (whose previous hits include Cuddly Tour and Family Man) and Canadian-born singer, Tim Howar – lead and backing vocals – who is currently starring in the hit West End musical Rock Of Ages.
Tim shares vocal duties with Roachford and they both add a new soulful dimension to the band’s already established sound.
The tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of The Living Years – which was a massive hit single in the 1980s and became a No.1 hit in the US.
Mike & The Mechanics developed a rich catalogue of classic hits, including All I Need Is A Miracle and Over My Shoulder.
