DETECTIVES have charged two men following a series of drug raids across Southampton and the New Forest.
The warrants were co-ordinated yesterday in Southampton, Lyndhurst, Winsor and Calmore as part of Operation Fortress, the campaign to reduce the harm of drug-related violence.
Gary Whetren, 23, of Manor Road, New Milton, is accused of possessing cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply. He was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning.
Mark Hayward, 27, of Winsor Road, Winsor, is accused of possessing cocaine and cannabis. He was bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on July 22.
A second 27-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, was bailed until September 16 pending further police enquiries.
A 22-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply was bailed until August 27.
