MANSEL Park children enjoy books and stories and do plenty of things to foster, not just success in reading, but hopefully a life-long love of reading.
The youngest children learn through a combination of high quality story books and carefully structured phonics lessons. Parents are invited to learn alongside their children so that they can support them at home. Parents and carers are encouraged to attend phonics and reading workshops and Family Phonics Friday sessions.
Year 1 phonics test results are above both the city and the national average.
