Police launch hunt for burglary suspect
Police are this afternoon searching part of Southampton for a man wanted in connection with several burglaries in the city.
A police helicopter has been spotted hovering above part of Freemantle and several police cars have been sent to the scene.
The area being searched includes Waterloo Road and Almond Road.
A police spokesman said units were deployed after officers were told that the wanted man had been seen in Freemantle.
“We are looking for a suspect and the search is ongoing,” she said.
