Police investigating an alleged robbery against a 12-year-old girl in Hampshire last night charged a man.
Ian Linnane, aged 30, of Sandringham Road, Portsmouth, is accused of robbing the girl of £20 in cash and a bank card outside a Southern Co-operative store in St. James’s Road, in Southsea on the evening of Saturday, June 22, 2013.
Linnane will remain in police custody over the weekend, and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance with the investigation.
