TWO people have sustained serious head injuries after being hit by a car.
South Central Ambulance Service said they had been called to St Marks Road, in the St Mary's area, to reports that a car had backed into two people.

Medics treated two people for potentially serious head injuries who were treated at the scene before being taken to Southampton General Hospital.
A spokeswoman said they did not details of the ages and genders of the injured people.
Two ambulance crews and an ambulance officer attended the incident, shortly after 11.40am.
A passerby reported seeing people crowded around something in the road and that the road was closed off by the St Mary's fire station.
Police said they could not release any details yet.
