WINCHESTER Science Festival returns for a second year next month.
It runs from July 20-22 at the Winchester Discovery Centre and aims to promote interest in and celebrate the subject.
The not-for-profit Winchester Science Foundation organises the event and also aims to promote science taking place in Hampshire, particularly women in science.
Speakers include:
- Prof Dame Wendy Hall, Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southampton.
- Dr Helen Czerski, physicist and oceanographer at the Institute for Sound and Vibration Research at the University of Southampton.
- Dr Karen Masters, astronomy researcher from the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, University of Portsmouth.
- Dr Adam Rutherford, science broadcaster and ‘professional geek’ with a background in genetics and evolutionary biology.
