SCORES of youngsters across Eastleigh were treated to their own mini Commonwealth Games.
More than 50 children, aged six and seven, took part in the event at Quilley School.
The “Eastleigh Commonwealth Games” were held as part of Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week, with the help of Eastleigh College community sports leadership awards students.
Youngsters, watched by England Under 18 rugby player Charlie Ewels, took part in a 50-metre sprint, egg and spoon race, space hopper race, bean bag throwing, tug-of-war, dressing up race and frisbee golf.
The games commenced with a small opening ceremony, followed by the event races and parents’ events, and concluded with a closing ceremony.
