Hampshire choir Voices of the Forest has produced its first CD.
World of Song, features 16 songs from around the globe, including Georgia, Japan, Africa, the Caribbean, India, Russia and North America.
The choir, led by musical director Fabian Lochner, was set up two years ago and meets weekly in Emery Down.
Choir committee chairman Cathy Sherrin, from Winsor, said: “We hope that people will want to buy the CD to help support the choir’s activities and share in our joy of singing. We also welcome new members, so anyone who is committed to performing and who wants to improve and enjoy their singing is welcome to get in touch.”
Voices of the Forest will be performing at the Beggars Fair in Romsey on July 13 and return to the town on September 28 to sing at the Plaza Theatre in a concert in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The choir is also to embark on a musical project called Saga, written and arranged by Mr Lochner, a series of songs based around a group of Norse Gods and their quest for magical powers.
The CD costs £10 (£15 for two) and is available from Cathy on cathysherrin@ msn.com or 07884 063385.
