A DIABETES charity has thanked a Hampshire MP for supporting children living with the condition.
Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton North, has backed the call by Diabetes UK for children with Type 1 diabetes to be better supported in schools.
The charity feels pupils face discrimination and exclusion from extra-curricular activities and trips, limiting their full potential.
It praises Ms Nokes for supporting an amendment to the Children’s and Families Bill, calling for a duty to be placed on schools to support children with health needs.
